A major anonymous donation, a change in zoning ordinance, and generous contributions from Society supporters made it possible to build
an animal shelter in Brookings.
The shelter is designed to provide interim care and evaluation for animals
in the Adoption and Guardian Angels program. These programs were formerly dependant on the volunteer foster homes.
